School Day SAT 2023

The Basics

All LISD juniors will take the SAT FREE of charge on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, during the school day.  No registration is necessary.  Testing will begin at 9 am.

Students need to bring two, number two pencils and a calculator if they wish to use one on the exam. See www.sat.org for a complete list of acceptable calculators.

Lunch will not be served until after the exam, so students are encouraged to bring a small snack.

The Benefits

  • Testing on a school day doesn't interfere with weekend work/family obligations.
  • More students are able to show up and take the SAT when it is offered at their school.
  • Stress is lower because students test in a familiar location with the staff they know.
  • All students who take the SAT can send their scores to as many as four colleges for free.

Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD)

Some students with documented disabilities are eligible to test with accommodations on the SAT, however, students must be approved to do so by College Board.  Contact our campus SSD coordinator, Mr. Sheppard, at 219-1162, to begin the accommodation approval process.  The last day to submit testing accommodations requests for the March 1st School Day SAT will be Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
