Sixth Annual Community Partnership Forum Is in the Books

Lubbock ISD and the Lubbock ISD Partners in Education program, in collaboration with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and Parkhill, Smith and Cooper, hosted the sixth annual Community Partnership Forum last Wednesday at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center.

More than 275 guests were in attendance to hear Dr. Mike Moses, former Texas Education Agency commissioner and Lubbock ISD superintendent, share his perspective on public education as the keynote speaker. As part of the event, Casey Doyle from Casey Carpet One was recognized as the 2019 Lubbock ISD Partner of the Year for his volunteer work at Roscoe Wilson Elementary School. Doyle is pictured here with Colleen Elbe, Partners in Education chairman and Paula January, Roscoe Wilson principal. Brown Elementary School volunteer Kingdom Come Ministries was the first runner up and Stewart Elementary School volunteer Westmont Christian Church was the second runner up for the award.
