The Lubbock ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) program had a strong showing at the Family, Career, and Community Leaders (FCCLA) state competition last week with a number of teams advancing to nationals! Monterey High School’s Food Innovation team won first place, while its Repurpose/Redesign and Cupcake Presentation teams took second place. Evans Middle School’s Chapter Service team won first place and its Repurpose/Redesign team claimed second place. Also, Lubbock High’s Fashion Construction team secured second place. Teams that finish in the top two of most events advance to nationals this summer in San Diego. Congratulations to these students and their coaches!
