Swimming & Diving at the Lubbock Invitational

The swimming and diving teams had a great weekend at the Lubbock Invitational. All of the varsity swimmers qualified for finals!

Savanna Silva led the way for the girls making finals in the 500 Free. For the boys, Thomas Forbes made finals in the 200 and 500 Freestyles.

The next meet for the swimming and diving team will be the district championships in Lubbock on January 19.

 

For the divers, Tahle Monk had a personal best performance, finishing 15th with a score of 285.05 in the one-meter event. She was 16th in three-meter.
 
Lilly Espinoza was 17th in one meter and 15th in the three-meter event, setting a new school record.
 
Avery Moore finished 22nd on one meter and 18th in the three-meter event. 
 
For the boys, Adrian Jimenez was 8th in both the one-meter events. 
 
Jacob Makuta finished 10th in the one-meter event. 
 
Monterey's next competition will be on January 19th at the Pete Ragus Aquatic Center. 
 
The Diving will begin at 8:00 am with Swimming beginning at 12:00 pm.
