For the next two weeks, Sophomore Student Council will be raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network. CMN is a non-profit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals, medical research, and community awareness of children's health issues. The money we raise will stay here in Lubbock to help local kids.
This week, money will be collected during all 3 lunch periods. Mr. Byers, the math teacher who rocks the bow tie, has agreed to shave his head at Friday’s pep rally if we can raise $500! Make sure to bring your spare change to donate during all 3 lunch periods.
Also, Friday will be $1 hat day. Bring a dollar and wear your hat to support the Children’s Miracle Network. Money will be collected during 3rd period classes.
NHS members, if you need more service points, you can earn them by buying a CMN snowflake from one of the sophomore class officers, Mrs. Pace, or Mrs. Clement in room 263 before or after school. Bring your miracle hearts to Mrs. Clements, room 153, for proof of purchase. One heart is one dollar, and there is no limit. Each heart is worth 1 NHS point. This will go until Friday, February 7th.
Remember, Children’s Miracle Network is a great organization that needs our Monterey Plainsmen help.
