Jon Weston Boutwell was recognized today by the Nancy Anderson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for winning first place in the scholarship essay contest! 

Additionally,  out of more than 200 DAR chapters statewide, he has been named this year’s DAR Good Citizen for the State of Texas! This is the first time in Monterey history that a Plainsman has been recognized on this level! Jon will be honored at a luncheon on March 19th at the DAR State Conference in Dallas and will be competing for further awards at the Division and National levels.
