Raymond Peppers Honored for Years of Service

Raymond Peppers, respectfully referred to as Mr. Peppers, was honored at the last Coaches Media Luncheon for over 50 years of service to Lubbock ISD. He began his education career in Tahoka as a teacher in 1963. He moved to Lubbock in 1965 and worked for Lubbock ISD at Iles, Dunbar, Estacado, Alderson, and Parkway as a teacher and administrator. He served 12 years as the Principal of Parkway Elementary before retiring from Lubbock ISD in 1992.

Since his retirement, he continues to work for the district as a crossing guard for Alderson Elementary School and parking attendant at PlainsCapital Park Lowrey Field, which he has done since the early 1970s. He is described as a humble man and community servant who has served on the City of Lubbock Board, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, and as a scoutmaster. Thank you, Mr. Peppers, for your many years of loyal and dedicated service to Lubbock ISD and our citizens of Lubbock.
