Brooke Chavez Taylor
Brooke Chavez Taylor attended Bozeman Elementary School, J.T. Hutchinson Junior High School and Estacado High School. She graduated from Estacado in 2000 as Valedictorian and as an honor graduate of the Medical Magnet Professions program. Brooke then attended Harvard University, where she graduated in 2005 with a degree in government.
While a student at Estacado High School, Brooke Chavez Taylor served as President of the student body and as a varsity cheerleader. She was a member of the Academic Decathlon team that qualified for state both her junior and senior years and as a national qualifier in Health Occupations Students of America.
Brooke worked at the Kennedy School of Government – Institute of Politics while a student at Harvard University. She was also actively involved with Harvard Model Congress, RAZA (Harvard’s Mexican-American Organization) and the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations. Brooke was crowned “Miss Boston Achievement 2000,” “Miss Massachusetts Achievement 2001” and “Miss America Achievement 2002.”
Mrs. Taylor began her career in broadcast journalism as a general assignment reporter at KAMC 28 News. She then moved to Dallas and worked as a reporter and anchor at Irving Community Television Network and later hosted Inside DFW Entertainment Television.
Brooke Chavez Taylorcurrently works as a co-host at Star Watch Media which covers premiers, red carpet events, fashion shows and press junkets. She also works as a movie news host with AMC Movie News and as a co-host with AfterBuzz TV. In addition, Brooke works as a professional model and actress appearing in print ads and commercials.
Brooke Chavez Taylor actively volunteers with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and performs at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. She is married to Jeff Taylor, an executive with JP Morgan. They have a daughter, Isabella.
