Jerry Gray

Jerry Gray Jerry Gray attended Posey Elementary School, Alderson Junior High School, and Estacado High School. He graduated from Estacado in 1981. He then attended the University of Texas on an athletic scholarship.

While a student at Estacado High School, Mr. Gray lettered in football, basketball and track. He was also crowned Mr.
EHS.

While a student-athlete at the University of Texas, Mr. Gray was a two-time Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a safety and a two time consensus All-American (1983, 1984). He 
 graduated with a degree in speech communications and was a first round draft pick of the Los Angeles Rams (21st overall). 


Jerry Gray played nine seasons in the NFL. He played for the Los Angeles Rams (1985-91), Houston Oilers (1992), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1993). He was also a four-time Pro Bowler at cornerback (1986-89) with the Rams. 

Jerry Gray began coaching defensive backs in 1995 at Southern Methodist University. He spent four years as an assistant coach with the Tennessee Titans and five years as the defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills (2001-05). Coach Gray was with the Washington Redskins (2005-09), and now coaches for the Seattle Seahawks. 

Mr. Gray was inducted into the Texas High School Hall of fame in 1995 and was recently named to the All-Time Texas High School Team. Mr. Gray currently resides in Seattle with his wife, Sherry. Together, they have two sons, Jeremy and 
Jayden.
