If you are planning to go to college in Texas, you must take the TSI (Texas Success Initiative). Unlike the ACT and SAT, which are entrance exams, the TSI is a placement test and all Texas colleges (including community colleges) will not allow you to sign up for courses until you have received specific scores on the TSI.
