¡Hemos superado con éxito los primeros tres días de clases! Ahora, mantengamos ese buen comienzo y hagamos de esta semana —y del resto del año escolar— algo excelente.
A continuación, les compartimos un recordatorio de nuestros Procedimientos de Llegada, tal como se presentaron durante la Casa Abierta:
🚗 Recordatorios para la Llegada
Los padres no podrán ingresar al edificio durante la llegada.
Puede usar las Zonas de Entrega designadas o estacionarse en las áreas aprobadas y acompañar a su(s) estudiante(s) hasta la entrada principal o las puertas de la cafetería, pero no deberá ingresar al edificio.
Busque a los miembros de la PTA con letreros de “Drop-Off” para guiarlo.
Los hermanos mayores podrán acompañar a sus hermanos menores a sus salones.
🕖 Áreas de Espera por la Mañana (7:15–7:30 a.m.)
Kinder a 5.º grado: Cafetería
Pre-Kínder: Biblioteca
Después de las 7:30 a.m., todos los estudiantes se dirigirán a sus salones de clase con una maestra(o).

We made it through the first three days of school — congratulations! Now let’s keep the momentum going and make this week, and the rest of the year, a great one.
Below is a reminder of our Arrival Procedures, as shared during Open House:
🚗 Arrival Reminders
Parents will not enter the building during arrival.
You may use the designated Drop-Off Zones or park in the approved areas and walk your student(s) to the main entrance or cafeteria doors — but please do not enter the building.
Look for PTA members holding “Drop-Off” signs to help guide you.
🕖 Morning Waiting Areas (7:15–7:30 a.m.)
Kinder–5th Grade: Cafeteria
Pre-Kindergarten: Library
AFTER 7:30 a.m., all students will head to their classrooms, guided by a teacher.
Older siblings are allowed to walk younger siblings to their classrooms AFTER 7:30.
Dismissal Procedures Reminder
👨👩👧👦 For dismissal, parents must enter the building to pick up students directly from their assigned classrooms.
🚫 Students are not permitted to leave their classrooms to pick up siblings or go to other classrooms.
This is a great time to connect with your child’s teacher and hear about their day. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to stay involved in your student’s education!

Congratulations to Miranda Rodriguez-Reyes, who was named the new principal of Harwell Elementary School at this morning’s Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees meeting!
Mrs. Rodriguez-Reyes has been a shining light on campus as assistant principal, and we’re thrilled to see her step into this new role. The future is bright for the Harwell Stars under her leadership! 💫

We hope our Lubbock ISD family is staying safe and warm on this snowy Sunday! This is a friendly reminder about how we communicate weather delays or cancellations. We share information by using:
1. Our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and X).
2. Our website (www.LubbockISD.org).
3. Our district notification system (phone call, text message, email, and app push notification).
4. Our district television station (Lubbock ISD-TV).
5. Our local media outlets
You can find more information about how we make these decisions and when we communicate about them at our weather information page at www.LubbockISD.org/weather.
Lubbock ISD classes are on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, February 12, due to the increased possibility of icy conditions impacting travel to school and work. School start times will be adjusted as follows: elementary schools will begin at 9:45 a.m., middle schools will begin at 10:20 a.m., and high schools will begin at 10:15 a.m. Buses will run on a two-hour delay schedule. There will be no classes tomorrow at the Byron Martin ATC or the Agri-STEM Complex.
Weather conditions will continue to be monitored, and we will provide additional communication tomorrow morning no later than 7 a.m. if there are any changes.
