Lubbock ISD is providing a series of significant compensation increases for its staff effective in the 2025-2026 school year, reflecting the district's commitment to supporting its employees in the face of rising costs and inflation.

The Board approved a new compensation plan for Lubbock ISD employees on August 28, 2025. This pay increase will go into effect for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This plan includes:

An average of 13% average salary increase for teachers (087) TEA defined Teacher of Record ONLY, with a starting teacher salary of $50,900 annually.
A 3% increase based on the midpoint of their pay grades for Administrative Operations.
A 3% increase based on the midpoint of their pay grades for Administrative Professional.
A starting pay of $13.50 an hour for Instructional Support staff on a Pay Grade 1 and market adjustments for the remainder of the pay grades.
A 3% increase based on the midpoint of their pay grade for Counselor, LSSP, Diagnosticians, Nurses (RN) and Librarians. (See more details below.)
