Today and tomorrow, high school art students have been creating and collaborating at CASP and LHUCA for the third annual West Texas Print Fest. Thank you to our partners, Complex Community Federal Credit Union, for making this year’s event possible. #WeAreLubbockISD

Students at Stewart Elementary had a special visit today from Texas Tech President Dr. Lawrence Schovanec and his wife Mrs. Patty Schovanec! 👆🏼 Pre-K students listened to an exciting book, while fourth and fifth graders learned more about college and were able to ask Dr. Schovanec questions about what comes after high school. Theater and Photography students at Hutchinson Middle School have been teaming up with Lubbock High students to create colorful portraits for Día de los Muertos photoshoots. #WeAreLubbockISD

October is National Book Month! One way we celebrate books and reading is by connecting high school students with their feeder pattern elementary schools to read together. 📚🤝💙 This morning, Chick-fil-A Leadership students from Monterey High School visited Miller Elementary for a special trip to promote literacy by reading books that encourage kindness, strength, and gratitude. Once all books were read, every second grader and pre-k student received copies of the books plus an encouraging note written by an MHS student! #WeAreLubbockISD

This week is National School Lunch Week! Lubbock ISD provides healthy meals in our schools to encourage good eating habits for all the amazing students out there. #WeAreLubbockISD
