Bilingual/ESL Family Engagement Night-
Come for an hour of engaging activities for you and your family!

Centennial Parents,
Hope to see you tonight for our Kindergarten's "Goin to the Farm" program at 6:00. Kindergarten students should be dropped off at the gym at 5:45. Students can dress up as farm animals or just wear something nice for the performance. It is going to be a great time!
Centennial will follow an indoor dismissal today due to the rain and cool temperatures. Parents will need to come inside and pick their student up in the hallway beside their classroom. Please park in the parking lot or on the street, not in the circle drive. Thank you!
Congratulations to Centennial ES Teacher on the Rise recipient, Mr. Larry Polk! Mrs. Bairds and United representatives surprised Mr. Polk with the recognition while gifting him Mrs. Baird snacks, gift cards, and an invite to the end-of-the-year Teacher on the Rise celebration.
Reminder: Students in 3rd-5th grades will be taking the STAAR RLA test on Tues., April 9. Please ensure students get plenty of rest tonight and are at school tomorrow on time. Please click on the link for more information.

Anisa Elizondo participated as the Panwest District Champion in the
2024 Texas Elks State Association (TESA) Hoop Shoot® Free Throw Contest held in
Carrollton on Saturday, February 17th. She competed against seven other District champions from around the state of Texas in the 10-11 year old girls division.
To earn a spot in the state competition Elizondo won her local contest, sponsored by
Lubbock Elks Lodge and then the Panwest District shoot-off.

Congratulations to Miles DeLaO for placing 3rd in the Lubbockisd UIL Dictionary Skills competition! We are so proud of you! 💙♥️🚀

We have an overwhelming amount of jackets, hoodies, and coats that have accumulated in our Lost and Found. These are currently laid out in front of our cafeteria. They will remain until Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 12:00 noon. If your child is missing anything, you or your student will need to look before that time. After that time, they will be gathered and donated.
Thank you!

We hope our Lubbock ISD family is staying safe and warm on this snowy Sunday! This is a friendly reminder about how we communicate weather delays or cancellations. We share information by using:
1. Our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and X).
2. Our website (www.LubbockISD.org).
3. Our district notification system (phone call, text message, email, and app push notification).
4. Our district television station (Lubbock ISD-TV).
5. Our local media outlets
You can find more information about how we make these decisions and when we communicate about them at our weather information page at www.LubbockISD.org/weather.

Lubbock ISD classes are on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, February 12, due to the increased possibility of icy conditions impacting travel to school and work. School start times will be adjusted as follows: elementary schools will begin at 9:45 a.m., middle schools will begin at 10:20 a.m., and high schools will begin at 10:15 a.m. Buses will run on a two-hour delay schedule. There will be no classes tomorrow at the Byron Martin ATC or the Agri-STEM Complex.
Weather conditions will continue to be monitored, and we will provide additional communication tomorrow morning no later than 7 a.m. if there are any changes.
Please stay safe and warm!

Yesterday, we celebrated our Future Mustangs of the Month for February! Congratulations Rockets! Way to BLAST!
