If you haven't heard, there is a solar eclipse today. We encourage all of our Plainsmen families to practice safe viewing of the eclipse!
Tomorrow our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will take the Reading STAAR assessment. They have worked so hard for this day and we know they are going to accomplish all of their goals! Please ensure that your student gets lots of rest and arrives to school on time (or even early) so that they can do their best.

The 4th/5th grade Wheelock Ladies basketball team are looked up to at our school. Today they demonstrated their leadership by picking up trash during dismissal. Thank you for improving our campus and good luck on a great season!
Tomorrow is Snack Shack day! All items are $1 and all students are welcome to participate.

Knowing what to do in case of an emergency is crucial to keeping yourself and your family safe. We will be practicing our evacuation drill tomorrow to ensure all students know how to stay safe at school in the event of a fire.
We can't wait to experience the solar eclipse with our Plainsmen! If you would like to opt your student out of this activity, a form will be in their backpacks today. Please complete it and return it to school as soon as possible.
