We are excited to begin introducing our teams for the year! Meet the 5th grade team! #40yearsofbeingawesome

💙 Joe Williams served as the principal of Whiteside from 1990-2007. He had previously been a teacher at Overton Elementary, an assistant principal at Iles Elementary, and the principal of Bowie Elementary. In 2007 he opened Roberts Elementary as the principal before moving on to lead Monterey High School. After his retirement in 2012 Mr. Williams continued to serve Lubbock ISD as an interim principal at Williams Elementary, Smith Elementary, Alderson Elementary, Jackson Elementary, and as an assistant principal at Cavazos Middle School. That is 43 years of service to the students and families of Lubbock ISD!
In the summer of 2018, Mr. Williams earned his real estate license and has been a realtor at Coldwell Banker for the past 5 years. This has been a great opportunity for him to continue to help families as he did in the educational field but now with their real estate needs.
THANK YOU for your service, Joe Williams! We are honored to celebrate you!

It's Throwback Thursday and we are honored to recognize former Whiteside teacher, Janice Neighbors!
Janice was on the original staff in 1983 and was the last of those teachers to retire in 2014! She continues to serve the Lubbock ISD community as an interventionist at Wheelock Elementary. That's 40 years of service to the students of Lubbock ISD! Ms. Neighbors loves spending time with her family and in her yard, and looks forward to visiting her daughter and new son-in-law in Colorado.
