The Department of Communications and Community Relations (CCR) is responsible for promoting positive, responsible and transparent public relations between the Lubbock Independent School District and the community. CCR coordinates internal and external districtwide communications while nurturing, developing and building strategic partnerships between the district and community ensuring success for every child, every day.

Lubbock ISD partners with Apptegy for websites, a mass communication system called Alerts, and a parent-teacher two-way communication system called Rooms. Explore more below about how we are improving the communication experience for families across the District.

Apptegy's Alerts allows Lubbock ISD to engage with families through multiple channels. The mass notification system allows the District to send a message through SMS, text-to-speech, voice calls, push notifications, email, and social media on one platform.

Apptegy's Rooms is a two-way messaging solution integrated directly into the Lubbock ISD app. This allows teachers and families to communicate directly in the same app where families get their school news and updates.

Course information, including videos and documents, can be easily shared with students and families. Rooms also translates messages from teachers into hundreds of languages for seamless conversation with families.
