Last Friday, second-grade students at Miller Elementary School hosted the Hall of Presidents exhibition where each student represented a president from our nation’s history. 🇺🇲🦅 Each student shared unique facts and history from their president’s life with their fellow students and parents. We are so proud of our incredible teachers for helping history come to life in our schools. 👏Happy President’s Day!

February is Career and Technical Education month and student's from Lubbock HS Education, Counseling and Coaching class are preparing for future professional careers. Students participated in panel interviewed led by local professionals and Lubbock ISD leadership. 💬 👥 Dr. Leo's class gained valuable real-world skills and feedback - setting themselves up for future success! 🌟 #WeAreLubbockISD

👏🏿 Throwback Thursday celebrating Black History Month! 👏🏿 Let's take a moment to remember and celebrate Estacado HS Principal Kenneth Wallace. Here he is shown hyping up the Matadors during a pep rally. His address included an original song and dance composed by Wallace himself for the occasion! 🕺🏿 Kenneth Wallace was the Principal of Estacado HS from 1989-1999 leading the Matadors through one of their most prominent times in school history. Our eighth-grade students from Cavazos MS just took a big step in preparing their future! Thanks to the TTU Raiders Rojos Career R Us Conference, students dove into a world of possibilities, responsibilities, and discovered new career paths, to start shaping their futures beyond the classroom. 💡💼 This event gave them the tools and inspiration to dream big, plan for success, and prepare for life after school. Our very own Monterey Plainsmen Aaliyah Chavez has been selected as a 2025 McDonald's All-American! The McDonald's All-American Game is the preeminent showcase for the top high school basketball talent in the country. 🌟🏀 The final group was hand selected by some of the game's top analyst, prep scouts, and coaches. Aaliyah will compete with some of the best high school basketball talent across the country at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York in April. We couldn't be prouder of her and the whole team at Monterey High School! 🏅 👏⛹️‍♀️#WeAreLubbockISD

We're excited to announce that two Lubbock ISD students received more than $4,000 worth of scholarships by Complex Community Federal Credit Union! Byron Martin ATC student Jaxx Laws received a $3,000 scholarship, and Lubbock High's Echo Ancell received $1,500 for their art murals that are prominently displayed at Complex Community FCU's new location. 💵 🎨 Let's give it up for these talented young minds leaving a lasting legacy on their community! 🏙️ #WeAreLubbockISD
