The Lubbock ISD School Support and Special Services Department is hosting a transition fair in the Coronado HS cafeteria on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. for all students and families receiving special education services. In addition to connecting with community members to learn more about services and community resources for their students, families can enjoy food, door prizes, and student artwork!
Dinner will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Student artwork will be displayed, and attendees can vote on their favorite pieces. Door prizes will also be given out.

This week, students from Lubbock High School’s Family Consumer Science program had the opportunity to test their soft skills by participating in mock interviews. The mock hiring panels were comprised of community members and Lubbock ISD staff, who represented various professions such as psychiatry at Johns Hopkins, assistant designer at Coco Chanel, and a leadership role at a Montessori school.
