Staff and students from the Commander William C. McCool Academy visited our 5th graders yesterday to provide information about their school. The Commander William C. McCool Academy is a public magnet middle school in Lubbock, TX, serving grades 6-8. It specializes in a project-based learning (PBL) curriculum with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEAM). We were thrilled to have two former Roberts Raiders as guest speakers, and we are incredibly proud of them!

3 Ways to Support the United Way before October 20th - 24th:
1) Pumpkin Decorating Contest - Paint or decorate a pumpkin to look like your favorite storybook character! Let your creativity shine! Students can enter for just $1.00. Pumpkins are due Thursday, October 23rd. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 boys and top 3 girls. We already have some great entries, so get those pumpkins in soon!
2) Teacher Inflatable Race - Who will take the win? Help choose! Races are on Friday at 2:30. Place $1.00 in the envelope of the teacher you want to see race!
3) Tattoo a Teacher - Want to have some Halloween fun? Bring $1.00 on Friday, October 24th and place a spooky Halloween tattoo on the teacher of your child's choice!
🎪📚 What a carnival of fun! Our last Bonding with Books event was a Library Carnival full of games, prizes, and sweet treats! 🎟🍬
