Lubbock is coming together for our kids this summer!
Lubbock ISD, Lubbock National Bank, Aramark, and the South Plains Food Bank are teaming up to serve FREE summer meals to all kids 18 and under! This program ensures that every child in our community has access to nutritious meals throughout the summer. Come hungry and leave happy all summer long! Good evening McCool Academy families. Tomorrow and Wednesday morning, we will have our doors open at 7:00 am to ensure our astronauts stay warm. Please be sure they are entering through door #1 on the southside of the campus.
Astronauts! Tomorrow is a presentation dress day! Please come with your blazer, white button up shirt, closed-toed shoes (no crocs or slides) and khaki/charcoal gray pants or skirt. You may wear green accessories for Say Hello Week!

Our 6th Grade Honors Science classes took part in an Ice Balloon Inquiry! This lab involved exploring the natural world, which allowed our Astronauts to ask questions, make discoveries, and test those discoveries in the search for new understanding #GoodtoGreat
Detective Pena of the Lubbock Police Department spoke with our 6th grade Astronauts this week about analyzing and finding the evidence they need to solve cases. This event launched our Astronauts into their first week project of analyzing real life mysteries and using evidence to infer what actually happened! #McCoolAcademy

We are so excited to welcome our Astronauts back to school! During the first week of school, learners will be working on first week projects, so school supplies do not need to be brought to school until Monday, August 19th. See you soon!

Yesterday, McCool Academy had a wonderful opportunity to host and present to the 2024 Mandela Fellows! This exceptional group from Sub-Saharan African, not only learned more about McCool Academy and Lubbock ISD but also toured our campus and wrapped up with a Q&A session.
