Today is International Women's Day! Let's celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women across the world.
Over the past two days, the McCool Bands performed at the TMEA Region 16 UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation with each of our three bands earning an award. Concert Band, performing in their very first UIL evaluation, earned a second division in concert and a first division in sightreading. Symphonic Band received the highest award - a sweepstakes - by earning a first division in both events. And Honor Band received a first division from every judge in both events, bringing home our first varsity band sweepstakes award. Fantastic job by all musicians and congratulations on the payoff for their months of hard work.
Our 6th grade mathematicians played battleship today as they practiced locating points on all four quadrants! 👩🚀➕✖️➗✏️
Theatre students were able to perform their sciences and be evaluated on performance qualities such as use of the stage, annunciation, movement and more!
Our diver, Noelle, did an AMAZING job at the Middle School Dive Meet yesterday! She represented McCool Academy well! We are so proud of her!
