Graduation was a week ago - but we're still celebrating!!!

Let's share a few more snapshots from all of the graduation festivities this weekend! We are so proud of our ATC graduates!

At last week's Board of Trustees meeting, Chef Gooch and his team, "Sprinkle Squad" were recognized for their advancement in Aramark's West Texas Culinary Star competition. The team prepared their signature dish - stacked enchiladas with slaw and fruit salad - at the state competition that was held at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Team members included: John Beaird, Taylor Jackson, Shawn Padierna, and Mackie Montgomery. The team is also pictured here with Lori Johnson, District Manager for Aramark in LISD.

Let's celebrate our graduates!!!! Over the next few days, we will be sharing a few snapshots from graduations this past weekend. Congrats to all of our graduates!!!

Last week, Allan Wolf and Mike Moss from Parkhill stopped by to give a very generous donation/scholarship to our construction technology classes. With this gift, a classroom set of filled tool bags will be purchased . We greatly appreciate Parkhill's support of our programs here at the ATC!

Members of the First United Methodist Church were on hand at Estacado High School to honor and gift some of our ATC seniors in memory of long time church member, Corey Brown. A vocational scholarship was established in Corey's memory to promote the skilled trades, as well as to honor Corey's involvement in scouting, education, and working outdoors.

Today, our very own Chef David Gooch and two of this students, Kaden Williams (CHS) and Will Townley (LHS and Ramirez alumni) were celebrity chefs at Ramirez Elementary. Lucky Ramirez Rams feasted on steak and chicken kabobs, gallo pinto, and chimichurri. They finished off their meal with cinnamon sugar cookies topped with dulce de leche. YUM!!!!!! It was a true feast!! Check out these pictures - we're not sure who was having more fun......the students OR Chef Gooch!!!
