Morning Announcements
Never miss an important announcement just because you are off campus during first period or absent. Students can always see what our daily announcements are by checking their grade level Google Classroom under the Talkington Info topic.

Swim Tryouts this week!
Best of luck to all of our Warrior swimmers.

Congratulations on an epic first week of the '24-'25 school year! Check out our new Smore to see what amazing things are coming up at Talkington: https://secure.smore.com/n/q2tv1-talkington-warrior-weekly

Thank you for bearing with us as we implement our new drop-off and pick-up procedures at Talkington!
For both, please pull up ALL the way to Door 6 (last cone). This will ensure the line doesn't back up as much.
For pick-up, it would be helpful to have a sheet of paper with your student's name and grade level in BOLD so we can circulate the name.

Good afternoon, Talkington Warriors! Check out our updates for tomorrow, including the new bus schedule: https://secure.smore.com/n/q4ebw-warrior-weekly-for-august-12-16

Hello, Talkington parents!

We are so excited to host our TACRAO College Fair here at Talkington this year (the fair that was usually held at Texas Tech each fall). We hope all families can join us. Please mark your calendars. I will keep you updated as more colleges sign up to attend.
If you have any questions about this fair or college in general, reach out: brandi.couch@lubbockisd.org.

Open House TOMORROW! We cannot wait to see everyone. Parents/guardians, please check your recent email for details about the event. Students can see this information in their grade level Google Classrooms as well.
Be sure to stop by the PTSA table to join and purchase Talkington gear!

All interested seniors need to reach out to Mrs. Couch immediately to begin the process. You can learn more at Questbridge.org.
*Note: $70,000 in income is just a guide--not a firm number. Check the website for more details.

Middle School supply list for 2024-2025 school year is now available. This supply list outlines the supply needs of your student for the upcoming school year. It is not necessary to send all of the items listed with your student during the first day or first weeks of school. Locker and classroom space is limited, so please keep this in mind when getting your backpack ready for school. If you have any questions please contact the office at 806-219-2200

Don't throw away last year's AP materials! Donate those to your Talkington sisters!
Drop off old guides, notecards, or other study materials in Mrs. Couch's office. We will have an AP Kickoff in August, during which students can take the study materials they need AND learn how to best use them.
