We are so grateful for our friends at Amazon and the Vice President of the Black Employee Network department, Neisha Rainwater, for their generous donation of backpacks and markers to our school. Ms. Rainwater grew up in East Lubbock and wanted to give back to the community here. HUGE thank you!

Lady Warriors are spreading cheer through their beautiful art! We are so proud to say that Rayne Childress-Westmoreland, an eighth grader, was selected as the 1st place winner, and her design, pictured here, will be one of the LISD holiday cards sent to families this year. Seventh graders Lila Fowler and Abby Hannon also placed in the top 10 in the district--an amazing accomplishment as there were 155 entries! We know their wonderful art teacher, Ms. Bell, is incredibly proud.

Dear District 2 Lubbock ISD families,
You’re invited to attend a District 2 Town Hall Meeting hosted by District 2 Trustee Bill Stubblefield on Monday, October 30. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Estacado High School cafeteria.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet campus and district administrators, learn about each of the campuses in District 2, and provide feedback and ask questions in a group activity. Your partnership is important to us and we hope to see you there!

Good afternoon parents and guardians,
Attached you will find an updated tardy policy. We will be meeting with students this week addressing any concerns with tardies. It is very important that students arrive to class on time each day. Each tardy counted per semester includes arriving at school after 8:15 a.m. and in between passing periods.

Amazing opportunities for our alumni! The attached September Alumni newsletter from YWPN includes information about two in person alumni events and other helpful information for college students. Registration links are below.
