Partnering with families to support positive student behavior, regular attendance, and strong learning habits—especially daily reading at home and monitoring student grades - are just a few ways we can ensure success for all Lubbock ISD students.
LEARNING AT HOME

Read with your child everyday for 15-20 minutes and talk about what they are reading
Check your child’s grades weekly and contact the school with questions

We are proud to share how our Cavazos tennis athletes performed at this weekend’s year-end tournament! Competing in a combined 7th and 8th grade event, our students rose to the challenge and represented Cavazos with determination and pride.
👏 Shoutouts to our athletes:
• Girls Singles B Division: Iris Dominguez showed great focus and determination.
• Boys Singles B Division: Kingston Martinez and Jesse Trujillo competed with resilience and strong effort.
• Girls Doubles B Division: Jay’Lee Diaz & Eveelyn Balderas demonstrated excellent teamwork and communication on the court.
• Mixed Doubles B Division: Araceli Sifuentes & Jay Garcia earned an impressive 🥉 3rd place finish, staying composed and working together in key moments!
🎉 All of our athletes displayed outstanding sportsmanship, effort, and growth throughout the season. This tournament was a fantastic way to close out the year!
