Our theatre program at Lubbock High is led by two dedicated teachers: Mr. Kocurek, the acting director, and Mr. Farrar, our new technical director. With 4 years of teaching experience, we are thrilled to welcome Mr. Farrar to our team this year.
Students can participate in various levels of theatre, including Theatre 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as Goldfish Productions (freshman varsity) and the varsity class.
Theatre at Lubbock High encompasses the art and profession of acting, producing, directing, and writing plays. Our program competes in two major competitions: UIL and One Act Play (OAP). Unlike UIL, OAP is a competition where teams can advance beyond the initial round, offering a more extended and challenging experience.
