Mackenzie Middle School wear blue on Monday, March 31st to support Autism Awareness Month!

Spring is here, and Mackenzie Family & Consumer Science students planted their fruit, vegetable, and herb seeds today! We’re excited to watch them sprout and grow into delicious produce. Our courtyard garden has been a wonderful space for students to enjoy over the past few years. FCS students have worked hard to maintain it and keep it looking great. However, the soil in the planter boxes and the mulch throughout the courtyard are starting to wear down. If any of our community partners are interested in donating these items, we would greatly appreciate your support!

Mackenzie Raider Families: We look forward to welcoming everyone back after Spring Break tomorrow! As the weather gets warmer, please review our Standardized Dress Code. No exceptions will be made including denim shorts, open toed shoes, non collared shirt. Pants must be khaki material. No sweats. Please ensure all students are in proper dress.
Continue to bring in plastic grocery bags for our recycling competition! The grade level who brings the most bags each week for the next 2 weeks will earn free dress on Friday!

Community Health Center of Lubbock will be providing Sports Physicals at Mackenzie Middle School on April 16th from 8AM - 11:30AM for $25. Get next year's taken care of in advance with this great opportunity.

A HUGE thank you to The Sewing Studio for hosting our FCS students this week. The students explored sewing terminology, various fabrics, and different types of sewing and embroidery machines. They even had the chance to sew their own coaster to take home. We are incredibly grateful for our community partners and their ongoing support of our students.

Excited to take the next step in your career? Join us at the Lubbock ISD job fair on April 5 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Monterey High School Cafeteria (3211 47th Street) and explore our many exciting career opportunities! #WeAreLubbockISD
