Mackenzie Middle School -

All parents, students and staff should download the HomeTown Fan app to purchase online tickets for all Lubbock ISD Athletic events.   Lubbock ISD will be CASHLESS for the 2025-2026 school year for all MS & HS athletic and fine arts events.   (QR Code posters will be available for all venue entrances.) Athletic event tickets will go on sale at 8:00am each Monday morning during the school year. Tickets can also be bought online through the athletics district website.

Welcome back to Mackenzie, Coach Nicholas Torres! We’re excited to have Coach Torres return to The Mack after previously serving our campus for two years. He’s joining us from Crosbyton, where he coached football, basketball, and track—and now he’s bringing his energy and passion back to our community! This year, Coach Torres will be teaching 7th & 8th grade Social Studies and leading our tennis program. We can't wait to see the impact he’ll make both in the classroom and on the court.

Welcome to Carlos Camarena! Mr. Camarena comes to us from teaching in Alaska. Welcome back to Texas! With many years experience, Mr. Camarena will be the Mackenzie Choir Director. His many positions have included honor choir clinician, band and choir teacher, secondary ukulele, percussion and high school theater. He looks most forward to using his vast experiences to guide students in cultivating new skills and experiences that last. We are excited to add him to the team!

Friendly reminder that Lubbock ISD campuses will be open from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 to help you get registered for the upcoming school year! We will have dedicated staff on-site to guide you through the registration process. Visit your neighborhood school to register all your students regardless if they attend that school or not. 😁

Welcome to Angelica Patino! Mrs. Patino comes to us from Frenship ISD where she taught 6th and 7th grade math. At The Mack, she will serve as our 6th grade Math teacher. Originally from San Angelo, she is married with two children, Allison and Clark. She has proudly served as Platoon Sergeant in the Texas Army National Guard for over 17 years. She is passionate about teaching and building strong relationships with students and families.
