Families are invited to join us for a TSYWL Family Night focused on Financial Aid. Seniors and their parents can complete the FAFSA and CSS Profile. Students in all grade levels and their families are welcome to come learn how to apply for scholarships and how to find colleges that meet their family's financial needs.

Eat at Taco Villa to support Talkington Robotics teams!
The Robotics Booster Club is hosting a Taco Villa Spirit Night fundraiser on Tuesday at the Taco Villa at 7727 Milwaukee Ave. We will get 15% of all revenue (drive thru and dine in) if our wonderful Warrior families will mention "Talkington Robotics." Representatives from each of our MS & HS First Robotics teams will be there throughout the night and we would appreciate everyone's support.

Monday: College Fair from 3:30-4:30 in the auditorium foyer. Students should register at app.strivescan.com/registration using their personal email address or their parent or guardian's email address if that is more comfortable. Families are welcome to attend--enter door 8. Students will bring a notebook and pen with them to the fair, and they should prepare questions to ask the college representatives. Students can check their grade level Google Classrooms for more details.
Wednesday: Big Sister Little Sister Event from 4:05-5:30 pm! We will be having tutoring, crafts, and games down by the science classrooms. Students need to coordinate with their big/little sisters on their attendance for this event. Snacks will be sold for cash.
Thursday: A representative from the University of Texas at Austin will be here to see interested high schoolers. Sign ups are in Google Classroom. (Note: We also have Tufts University and Tarleton University reps coming soon! Sign up if interested.)
Also on Thursday, we will have a YWPN representative in the cafeteria during 7th period to set all seniors up on the platform for the $20,000 YWPN Scholarship and future grant opportunities.

This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Northern Italy to learn about Sustainable Farming and we had an amazing experience! Now, I’m excited to announce our next adventure:
STEM in JAPAN – SUMMER 2028!
Our Robotics, Engineering, and Cities for the Future tour will let students explore the futuristic skyline of Tokyo, venture to Tsukuba — Japan's renowned "Science City" — and journey through the Yamanashi Prefecture, experiencing Japan's rich traditions while discovering its role as a global leader in robotics, engineering, and the cities of the future.

CIS South Plains has been nominated to win the Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award. However, they need your help and votes to potentially win $35,000 - $200,000 in grant funding! Please see the attached flyer to help vote and spread the word. This grant funding would help our Warriors and other students of the South Plains, so don't miss your chance to vote.
