Dear Dunbar College Preparatory Academy families,
As many of you have already heard, Lubbock ISD formed a Future Focus Committee tasked with planning for the future of Lubbock ISD’s schools. We want to keep you informed about the ongoing work of the Future Focus Committee, and the committee is discussing updates relevant to Dunbar CPA.
We know that conversations about potential changes can bring many questions and concerns. Although there are no finalized decisions at this time, we are committed to open and transparent communication. To help answer questions and provide clarity, we’re hosting a second community meeting on Monday, November 18 at 6 p.m., where campus and district leaders will be available to address your concerns and share any important updates.
We value each member of the Dunbar family and are here to support you and your child. Thank you for your partnership.

Hi, Lubbock ISD families! 👋
This is a friendly reminder that there is early dismissal for all schools on Friday! We hope that everyone has a great last week of school!
#WeAreLubbockISD

Friday, May 24th, is the last day of school. Students will be dismissed at 12:40. On Friday, we will have our student vs staff basketball game and a UBU Day (free dress day). Students can pay $5 and receive a dollar discount for every too-little standardized dress clothing item they bring. Items must be free of holes and stains, and clean.

This week is Spirit Week for our 8th-grade students!

Registration must be completed each school year. This is the time to make changes to addresses, phone numbers, and emergency contacts. Register now to ensure that your student has a schedule for the fall of 2024.

Happy Easter!

🚨 NO SCHOOL TODAY OR MONDAY 🚨
We hope everyone enjoys a long four-day weekend! We'll see everyone back in class on Tuesday, April 2!
