The application process requires two steps:

We are so excited to announce that Talkington has been approved to become a UIL athletics school! This opportunity opens so many doors for our student athletes, cheerleaders, and fans. At Thursday's LISD School Board meeting, the board voted for this measure, and we are thrilled about the possibilities for the future of athletics. Thank you to all of our families who responded to the survey before the meeting. Your input is invaluable. We know this has been a tough month for our athletes and that no one solution worked for everyone, but we hope this path, which reflected the majority of community votes, will make Talkington an even better place.

All juniors, students in honors Algebra 2, and select seniors will take the TSIA exam tomorrow. This important college placement test will let us know that our students are college ready.
Students will report directly to their testing rooms for 1st period tomorrow. They need a charged Chromebook. They have study materials in their grade level Google Classroom.

📢 Important Update: Transfer Window for 2025-2026
The transfer window, originally set to open on Dec. 9, will now open on Tuesday, December 17.
The Board of Trustees is giving Hodges Elementary families, whose campus is closing, the opportunity to provide input on their preferred consolidation option. Final attendance boundaries will be approved on Dec. 12, and all boundaries must be finalized before transfers can begin.
