Thank you to everyone who attended the dedication ceremony for the memorial benches honoring Patrick Cates and Doyle Vogler. It was a touching tribute to these incredible leaders, and we’re grateful for the support and presence of all who came to celebrate their lasting impact on our school community.

Westerners! Check out these important notes from your counselors. - The level change request window will be open from September 3rd to September 27th. Request forms will be available on the lobby counter of both the counseling office and the main LHS office. These forms are for anyone seeking to move down a level in an advanced academic course. The course must have an on-level equivalent, and seats must be available in the on-level section. - Juniors and Seniors, if you would like to visit with a representative from a visiting college on campus, please sign up for a pass using the link on the counselor's webpage using the "College Visit Schedule and Sign Up" tab!

The Lubbock High Esports Team is excited to kick off our 2024 Spring season and is actively seeking new athletes to join our competitive roster. Last year, our team achieved remarkable success, winning two state championships and four national championships. We invite interested students to attend an informational meeting on August 27th or August 29th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, in the LHS Library. Westerner Nation! Football Media Day is coming up on August 17th! Gates open at 8:55 AM—our athletes will be getting ready early, so please wait until then to join the fun. Enjoy an open practice at 9 AM, followed by team introductions at 10:15 AM featuring Football, LHS Cheer, The Gold Dust Pom Squad, Trainers, Rough Riders, and Managers. Here are some helpful reminders for the first day of school! - Wednesday, August 14th: All students should report directly to their 2nd period class when the bell rings at 8:00 AM (tardy bell at 8:15 AM). - Class Schedule for the Day:The order of classes will be 2, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Note that 2nd period will be longer. - Double check your schedules online, many have changed. - Thursday, August 15th: Bus transportation to Chapman, Lomax, Buddy Holly, and ATC will begin. - Normal Start Time: School will start at the regular time on Wednesday, 8/15.
